Covid-19 Message from Holston Habitat ED, Trish Patterson

Holston Habitat is providing this update about the measures we are taking to protect our staff, volunteers and the people we serve during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.

These measures are based on guidance from Habitat for Humanity International and local, state and national public health authorities. We are continually monitoring the situation, and our approach may change as new guidance is provided.

Given the current circumstances in our area, the 2020 Women Build event has been postponed until further notice. Other builds and activities are postponed until April 9 and we will send a message once our construction activities resume. We recognize these measures may be disruptive to your plans, but given our local conditions, these postponements are prudent.

In addition, our ReStores in Johnson City and Kingsport will remain open at this time. Our staff is taking the appropriate precautions to deeply clean and disinfect the ReStores in line with current OSHA/HHS recommendations. We will send out additional updates as conditions change.

Out of respect for our ReStore truck drivers, if you have scheduled a pick-up and you or anyone in your home are exhibiting flu-like symptoms, please call 423-335-5573 to reschedule.

Please know that we are constantly monitoring the situation and will update our plans as new details emerge. You can visit our website and facebook page for current updates. Thank you for your continued support as we navigate this public health crisis together.

In partnership,

Trish Patterson
