Hurricane Helene Disaster Recovery Home Repairs

 

We are now accepting applications to begin providing repairs for families in Washington, Carter, and Unicoi Counties who suffered damage from the storm, thanks to funding from United Way of East Tennessee Highlands and from other generous donors. Holston Habitat is focused on providing repairs such as:
 

  • Replacing insulation, subfloors, & flooring

  • HVAC Units

  • Electrical work

  • Drywall​


The qualifications are the same as our general Home Repair, but there is NO up-front fee or up-front sweat equity requirement. If you are interested in applying, please call 423-239-7689 ext. 806 to request an application by mail or you can print one by clicking the button below.

Holston Habitat does more than build houses. We also bring people together to build communities and hope. We assist homeowners with limited financial resources in restoring and maintaining their homes through affordable critical home repairs and accessibility modifications. The repairs we complete impact the health and safety of the homeowners and the preservation of the home. Home repairs are led by trained crew leaders and completed by volunteers or subcontractors.
