Planned Giving

Holston Habitat for Humanity is grateful to be included in your estate plans, and looks forward to welcoming you as one of Holston Habitat’s Golden Hammer Donors. Each Golden Hammer makes a lasting impact and moves us closer to a world where everyone has a decent place to live.

There are many ways that a Golden Hammer can make a gift that touches lives beyond your lifetime. The simplest include:

A bequest:  A gift left in your will or living trust. To create a bequest, please using the following language:

"I, [name], of [city, county, state, ZIP], give, devise and bequeath to Holston Habitat for Humanity [written amount or percentage of the estate or description of property] for its unrestricted use and purpose."

An IRA, retirement plan, or life insurance policy: Naming Holston Habitat for Humanity as the beneficiary of part or all of an IRA or retirement plan account, or a life insurance policy.

A charitable gift annuity: An agreement in which you transfer cash or other assets to Holston Habitat for Humanity in exchange for its promise to pay you an annuity for life.

For information about Holston Habitat’s Golden Hammer program, or assistance with all types of planned giving, contact Laura Kelly at 423-239-7689, ext. 804.
